Fifth Grade - Trees of Life
Fifth graders were inspired by Gustav Klimt’s painting “The Tree of Life” to make their own shining, swirling, patterned trees. We studied how to draw trees, Klimt’s artwork and the meaning behind the ancient symbol of the tree of life. As students worked, they meditated on one of the meanings behind the tree, which is that all things are connected. During this time of great disconnect and upheaval, it was very special to find a small moment to focus on how we are all connected to one another, to the world, and to God. Framed Dimensions: 26”x38”
